Book Review #3 Between Two Kingdoms – Suleika Jaouad

Book #3 Suleika Jaouad – Between Two Kingdoms.

What nearly dying taught me about living.

Woah. What a powerful book. I’ve got to start with that. I read this book in 3 days. Like I physically couldn’t put it down.

This book came into my life at a time where I needed it so much, it gave me a different perspective on my personal circumstances, it was so relatable, I cried, I laughed and I was inspired.

Her writing is fantastic, and I feel as though anyone who reads it, especially as a young female, can relate in some way. Her journey is so powerful, yet heart breaking, but the strength, determination and vulnerability is so admirable. Words of illness, loss, heartbreak, pain, strength, transition, growth over pivotal years of life as we evolve as humans, as women and yet experiencing such a massive, life altering situation, her description of loss of the self, loss of others and the journey that is healing, finding hope, and the true relationship of grief, is one like I have never read or experienced before. She shows such an admirable bravery and her move into re-discovery and helping others whilst trying to find a new normal is one we can all say we have experienced in some capacity or another.

I would suggest to anyone to read this book, you will feel every emotion you know, and sometimes its good for us to do that. To get some perspective, some insight, some appreciation.
